The English side want to compete with Manchester City in the Premier League.

In the season 2022/23 Arsenal showed that they have the level to compete with the best teams in Europe. For most of the year, they were leaders in the Premier League standings, but towards the end of the season their performance dropped and they could not prevent Manchester City from snatching the title.

Now, the Gunners are aiming to achieve what they came close to last season. For that, coach Mikel Arteta knows they need to correct some mistakes and add top players that will allow them to compete in the Premier League and Champions League. So far they have spent more than $200 million on the signings of Ajax defender Jurrien Timber, West Ham midfielder Declan Rice and Chelsea striker Kai Havertz.

This is not enough and now they will try to add one of the stars of Serie A: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian winger arrived in 2022 at Napoli and quickly earned a place in the team thanks to his talent, dribbling, goals and assists. Along with Victor Osimhen he was the key player in winning the league title. This earned him the praise of Italian fans, who even compared him to Diego Armando Maradona, the most important player in Napoli's history.

According to journalist Steve Kay, Arsenal are interested in starting negotiations for Kvaratskhelia. But this will not be easy. Firstly, because in order to continue buying players, the Gunners will have to sell. And also because the Italian side has no intention of losing one of its stars. This was assured by president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

How much is he worth?

According to the specialized website Transfermarkt, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has a market value of $85 million. However, Napoli have already announced that they will not let him leave for that figure, and reports indicate that they will ask for at least $150 million.
