The Spanish side have already qualified for the Champions League round of 16.

Real Madrid had a perfect start in the Champions League 2023/24. They won all four matches they played and lead Group C with 12 points, 5 more than Napoli (7). Further behind are Sporting Braga (3) and Union Berlin (1). This allowed the Spanish side to qualify for the round of 16 despite still having two more matches to play. The only objective they still have to achieve now is to secure first place in the group, which will allow them to have a less difficult duel in the round of 16.

To achieve this, they will only need a draw against Napoli at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Wednesday. But it will not be an easy task, as the Italians have proven to be a tough team, with top players who can surprise them.

That's why coach Carlo Ancelotti decided that most of the squad's stars will be part of the starting lineup. He is not relaxed, he wants to avoid surprises and, above all, his goal is for Los Merengues to secure first place in Group C on Wednesday. That will allow them to focus fully on La Liga, where they share the top of the standings with Girona.

Real Madrid's XI will be: Andriy Lunin; Daniel Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba, Ferland Mendy; Federico Valverde, Toni Kroos, Dani Ceballos, Jude Bellingham; Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz. In addition, the substitutes will be Lucas Cañizares, Francisco Gonzalez, Fran Garcia, Nacho, Lucas Vazquez, Theo Zidane, Nicolas Paz, Mario Martin, Gonzalo Garcia and Joselu.

For them it is a very important match

Although Napoli are in a good position in Champions League Group C, their qualification to the round of 16 is not yet assured. They are 4 points ahead of Sporting Braga with 6 points still to play for. They do not want to take any risks and will therefore try to get a victory in Madrid to calm them down. Coach Walter Mazzarri chose this XI: Alex Meret; Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Amir Rrahmani, Natan, Juan Jesus; Andre Anguissa, Stanislav Lobotka, Piotr Zielinski; Matteo Politano, Giovanni Simeone, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. On the bench will be the team's star player, Victor Osimhen.
