The forward gave an unexpected answer when asked about the legends.

Lionel Messi is the best player in Barcelona's history. Since his debut in 2004, he proved to have a special talent and quickly became a key player for the team that at that time was led by Frank Rijkaard and had stars such as Ronaldinho, Xavi Hernández, Andrés Iniesta and Deco.

In his 17 years there Leo played more games than any other player at the club (778) and also holds the record for goals (672), assists (269) and titles (35, including 4 Champions League). That is why no one disputes that he is the most important player the Catalan club has ever had in its history.

This makes Ferrán Torres' words even more surprising. The Barcelona forward gave an interview in which he was asked about the competition between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, the best players of this generation. Ferran said that Leo is the greatest of all time and added: "What he has done, I have not seen anyone. I haven't seen Maradona or Pelé, even Ronaldinho caught me very young, but Messi, to be there for 20 years, every year scoring 50 goals and 50 assists is crazy".

However, he then confessed to admiring Cristiano Ronaldo and said: "But I also have to tell you that for me, Cristiano is a mirror, an idol, because competing with the best player in history, that has an incredible merit. To compete with him and take the Ballon d'Or away from him".

He is shining

Ferrán Torres arrived at Barcelona in January 2022. His first few seasons there were not as good as expected and he even came close to leaving this summer. He finally decided to stay and that seems to have been a good decision, as his performances have improved tremendously: this season he has played 17 games between La Liga and Champions League and scored 5 goals.
