Bad news for Real Madrid: from Saudi Arabia they offer $21 million for this player

Real Madrid already suffered the consequences of the Pro League's growth. This summer they lost Karim Benzema, their main star and then reigning Ballon d'Or winner, when he decided to accept a multi-million dollar offer from Al-Ittihad and leave Europe for the first time to continue his career in Saudi Arabia.

This caused a problem for coach Carlo Ancelotti, who had to look for alternatives to replace his star striker. During the transfer window only Joselu arrived, who has scored a few goals but has not shown convincing performances. That's why the Italian manager preferred to use Jude Bellingham as a 'false 9', along with two forwards (usually Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo).

And now he might have problems in another sector of the field for the same reason. According to Relevo, Al-Ittihad are interested in another Real Madrid player and have made him an offer to join in 2024: David Alaba. The Austrian defender is a key part of the team's defense, although this season he has had physical problems that prevented him from playing regularly.

The Saudi Arabian side want a top-level defender and are interested in the 31-year-old, who they are willing to pay a fortune: more than $21 million per year. That is almost double what he earns in Spain, where he is one of the highest paid players on the squad with a salary of $12 million per season.

Carlo Ancelotti has had a lot of trouble this season with center-backs. In the first game of La Liga 2023/24, Eder Militao suffered a serious knee injury that required surgery and will take at least 6 months to recover from.
