Another Haaland show, these are the starting lineups for Man City and Wolverhampton

This week Manchester City lost their first game in the 2023/24 season. It was against Newcastle at St. James Park, and it meant the elimination of The Citienzs from the Carabao Cup. Pep Guardiola decided to change most of the squad for that game, as he felt it was best to rest the stars and get them fit to face Wolverhampton this Saturday at Molineux Stadium.

The coach believes that the Premier League and Champions League are more important tournaments than the Carabao Cup and therefore prioritized the game against Wolves and the game against RB Leipzig in Germany on Wednesday. Manchester City need a victory that will allow them to remain at the top of the English league standings, no matter what happens in the other matches.

This Saturday, most of the stars who did not play against Newcastle, such as Ederson, Ruben Dias, Kyle Walker and Erling Haaland, will return to the starting lineup.

The Citizens XI will be: Ederson; Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji, Nathan Aké; Matheus Nunes, Mateo Kovacic, Phil Foden; Julian Alvarez, Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland.
