These are all the English teams that have won the Champions League

Next Saturday, June 10th, the new champion of the Champions League will be determined in the clash between Manchester City and Inter Milan. The English team is favored in this final and represents their greatest desire as they seek to join the English clubs that have won this title.

The first English club to lift the Champions League trophy was Manchester United in the 1967-68 season. On that occasion, they defeated Portugal's Benfica 4-1 in extra time. Manchester United has won the title two more times, totaling three trophies and two runner-up finishes.

Another historic English team is Liverpool, which can also boast multiple Champions League titles in their trophy cabinet. Their first triumph came in the 1976/77 season when they defeated Germany's Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-1. They have six trophies and four runner-up finishes.

Nottingham Forest, which returned to the Premier League last year after 23 years in the Championship, won the title consecutively in the 1978/79 and 1979/80 seasons. Aston Villa also has the honor of being the best team in Europe on one occasion. Their sole conquest came in 1982 when they defeated Bayern Munich.

Their first title came in the 2011/12 season when they triumphed in a penalty shootout, winning 4-3 against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. Then, in 2021, they prevented Manchester City from winning their first international title by securing a victory with Kai Havertz's solitary goal.
