After Napoli scandal, these Premier League clubs could sign Victor Osimhen

The striker has had serious problems with the Italian club.

The striker has had serious problems with the Italian club.

This week an absurd situation occurred in Italy. Napoli, on their official Tik Tok account, posted a video mocking a penalty missed by Victor Osimhen in the 0-0 draw against Bologna. This caused a scandal, as the striker did not like what happened and asked the club to publicly apologize to him. Napoli deleted the video, but for now have not commented on this. In response, Osimhen decided to delete all Napoli-related photos he had on his social media.

"First a video mocking Victor was made public and then, albeit belatedly, this was deleted. A serious fact that causes a very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period, between media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor," said his agent Roberto Calenda.

With this scenario, rumors about Osimhen's possible departure from Napoli have started to emerge. If it happens, many top clubs in Europe will be willing to compete for him. His 62 goals in 107 games for the Italian side make him a star that everyone wants to have.

Several clubs in England have shown interest in him and could make an attempt in the next transfer window. According to The Sun, Chelsea will be looking for a center-forward in January and Osimhen is among those targeted. Manchester United already showed interest in him this summer, although they finally chose another Serie A player, Rasmus Hojlund.

They have the money

Perhaps the English club most likely to sign Victor Osimhen are Tottenham. Spurs sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich for over $100 million this summer and did not sign a star striker to replace him. If coach Ange Postecoglou asks for him, perhaps the chiefs will do what they can to bring him in.
