Sunday marked Marco Asensio's last match as a player for Real Madrid. After intense speculation in recent weeks, it was officially confirmed on Saturday that the talented 27-year-old winger will leave the club once his contract expires at the end of this month.
Among the clubs interested in signing Asensio are Aston Villa and Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish international winger has been coveted by these teams, who see him as a player with great potential and the ability to strengthen their attack.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Asensio has already made a decision about his next move and has reached a verbal agreement with PSG. It is expected that the player will sign a four-year contract with the French club.
In the coming days, Asensio will travel to Paris to finalize the details of his transfer, where he is expected to fill the void left by Lionel Messi, who is also leaving PSG when his contract expires at the end of this month.
Real Madrid will seek to replace Asensio this summer, with Brahim Díaz, who will return from his loan spell at Milan and seems to be the leading candidate after his impressive season in Italy. However, the board may be looking for another player as well.
