The Liverpool squad won 0-2 on their visit to Sheffield United and remains one point behind leaders Arsenal in the Premier League.

Liverpool fulfilled this Wednesday in their visit to the bottom field, Sheffield United, and won 0-2 in their match on the 15th day of the Premier League, which keeps them second, just one point behind the leader, Arsenal.

Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk took advantage of a cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold on a corner kick and in the 36th minute scored the first goal of the match with a volley. When it seemed that the match was going to end 0-1, the Reds sealed it in added time with a second goal, scored by Dominik Szoboszlai after an assist from Uruguayan Darwin Núñez.

With two goals and two assists, the Hungarian Szoboszlai, signed this summer, is being one of the sensations of a renewed Liverpool, which without making much noise has interfered in the duel for the Premier between Arsenal and Manchester City, current champion.

Despite the debut of their new coach, Chris Wilder, the modest Sheffield team did not put Liverpool in trouble, as they started the Colombian Luis Díaz, replaced in the second half by Darwin Núñez. With this victory, Jürgen Klopp's team has 34 points and consolidates itself as second place, just one point behind Spaniard Mikel Arteta's Arsenal (35 points).

Three important points on the road

On the other hand, Sheffield sits at the bottom of the standings, with a meager 5 points and one victory in the first four months of the tournament. Wilder replaced Paul Heckingbottom on the bench of this northern England team on Monday, the first dismissal of a coach this season in the Premier League.
