Carlvert-Lewin vs Haaland.

This Saturday will begin the 24th round of the Premier League with the match between Manchester City and Everton at Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola's team has an ideal opportunity: if they win, they will become the new leaders of the standings, one point ahead of Liverpool and with the same number of games in hand. However, a few hours later The Reds will play their match against Burnley at Anfield Road and they can regain their place at the top if they win.

However, it will not be an easy match for the Citizens, as they will face a team that needs the three points to get out of a difficult situation. The Toffees suffered a 10-point deduction for breaches of financial fair-play rules and so are now in the relegation zone with 19 points. But that amount does not show their performance during the season, in wich they have shown a good level..

Manchester City will have a disadvantage this Saturday: they have had less rest time than their rivals, as they played their last game last Monday (when they beat Brentford 3-1), while Everton had a week to prepare after the match vs Tottenham Hotspur.

Coach Pep Guardiola decided that the starting lineup for this Saturday's game will be: Ederson; John Stone, Manuel Akanji, Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake; Matheus Nunes, Rodri, Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez, Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland. In addition, on the bench will be nine more players: Stefan Ortega, Rico Lewis, Josko Gvardiol, Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, Bernardo Silva, Oscar Bobb, Jacob Wright and Kevin De Bruyne.

The Toffees need at least a point

With 19 points, Everton are 18th in the standings. But they are only one point behind Luton Town, who are out of the relegation zone. Therefore, should they take at least a point from the Etihad Stadium, they could improve their situation. Coach Sean Dyche chose this XI: Jordan Pickford; Ben Godfrey, James Tarkowski, Jarrad Branthwaite, Vitaliy Mykolenko; Idrissa Gueye, James Garner, Ashley Young, Jack Harrison, Dwight McNeil; Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
