He wants to leave.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United to join Al-Nassr in December 2022, many other stars have followed suit. Last summer the Pro League greatly elevated its standards with the signing of dozens of players who left Europe for multi-million dollar salaries, including Neymar Jr, Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kanté, Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte, Bono and Kalidou Koulibaly.

However, just six months later, many of them seem to be regretting their decision. While the money they are earning is far superior to what they would receive in Europe, there are things that cannot be bought. Reports indicate that some players are disappointed with the Pro League, mainly because of the poor fan attendance, with an average of 2,000 spectators per game at each stadium. In addition, Saudi Arabia's cultural differences with Europe also make life there difficult for some of them.

That is why rumors indicate that several are considering terminating their contracts early and leaving. One of them, apparently, is Jordan Henderson. The English midfielder left Liverpool in exchange for a salary of $45 million per season at Al-Ettifaq, but according to The Sun he is regretting it and for that reason is analyzing a return to Europe.

In case he makes that decision, there are several clubs that want to sign him. Celtic of Scotland are one of them, although the most tempting offers seem to come from Germany. TalkSPORT claims that Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen are interested in Jordan Henderson, although his departure will not be easy. Al-Ettifaq have no intention of selling him, while a loan move is unlikely due to the high salary the player earns.

He is not the only one who wants to leave

In addition to Jordan Henderson, another former Liverpool player is having a bad experience in Saudi Arabia. Roberto Firmino also arrived in the Pro League this summer to join Al-Ahli. There he made his debut scoring a hat-trick, but since then he has failed to score more goals and lost his place in the team. That is why it is rumored that he could return to the Premier League to play for Sheffield United.
