The Premier League 2023/24 is approaching the decisive stage. There are fewer and fewer games left and the strongest teams are competing week by week for the top spot in the standings, knowing that the slightest mistake can cost them dearly. For some time Liverpool seemed to be consolidated at the top and with a considerable lead over the rest of the teams, but last week's defeat against Arsenal changed everything.

The Reds now have 51 points, just one more than Manchester City, who are facing Everton at Etihad Stadium this Saturday. In addition, the Citizens still have the matchday 18 game against Brentford pending (to be played on February 20), so they have an ace up their sleeve. And that's not all: Arsenal are also very close, with 49 points. That is why none of them can relax and every game can be decisive for the future of the tournament.

With this scenario, Jurgen Klopp's team cannot fail this Saturday at Anfield Road. There they will face one of the weakest teams in the Premier League, Burnley, and that is why they will have the responsibility to prove that they are better than their rivals and get a victory that will allow them to remain leaders of the tournament.

The German coach decided that Liverpool's starting lineup will be: Coimhin Kelleher; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarell Quansah, Virgil Van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Alexis MacAllister, Wataru Endo, Curtis Jones; Diogo Jota, Darwin Nuñez, Luis Diaz. Also on the bench will be Fabian Mrozek, Adrian, Konstantinos Tsimikas, Ryan Gravenberch, Harvey Elliott, James McConnell, Bobby Clark, Cody Gakpo and Louie Koumas.

The Clarets are in trouble

For Burnley every game is a final. They are 19th in the standings, just above Sheffield United, and need a miracle to get out of the relegation zone. With 13 points, they are now 7 points away from that goal, so they have almost no margin for error. Coach Vincent Kompany chose this XI: James Trafford; Lorenz Assignon, Dara OShea, Maxime Esteve, Hannes Delcroix; Josh Brownhill, Sander Berge, Aaron Ramsey, Wilson Odobert; David Datro Fofana, Zeki Amdouni.
