FC Barcelona could be losing a young star from La Masia this summer.

FC Barcelona are known to play their young players from La Masia, and they have been delivering. Over the years, star players like Lionel Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta came from La Masia and transformed into great players. The next star players that are starting to show lots of potential are Pau Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal. While these two players have played a lot in the past season with FC Barcelona, one of the players who showed promise but eventually did not get a lot of minutes compared to his other teammates at La Masia is Marc Guiu. The Barcelona striker was impressed in his first match with FC Barcelona, scoring on his debut against Athletic Bilbao in La Liga last October. Gerard Romero reports that Marc Guiu is in advanced talks with Chelsea. The Premier League intends to pay his $6 million release clause this summer. The player also has advanced agreements with the London club.

Fabrizio Romano reported that Chelsea's interest in Marc Guiu is concrete. Talks took place with both Chelsea and Bayern Munich. The 18-year-old striker played seven games across all competitions for the first team of FC Barcelona this past season. He scored a goal in La Liga, which was his debut match, and he scored in the Champions League match against Royal Antwerp in the group stage.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich will battle for the striker whose realize clause is $6 million, and his market value is around $8 million. Barcelona fans are unsure whether it's a good idea to sell him or to keep him. Some don't care about selling him, while others believe that he could be a great option for the striker position at FC Barcelona. Xavi preferred playing him over Vitor Roque, whose future is uncertain at the club.

Barcelona's trust on Lamine Yamal

Unlike Marc Guiu, FC Barcelona really believes in Lamine Yamal and could give him a huge reward for his recent performances. Reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona’s been considering the possibility of giving Lamine Yamal the #10 for next season, pending further confirmation - one factor is due to marketing reasons and the timing (Club’s 125th Anniversary).
