Kylian Mbappé and France will play the biggest game fo their EURO camping so far tomorrow against Belgium in the Round of 16. The French star is a main target for many opposition teams as he is one of the best players in the world and arguably the best player in the French national team. This EUROS Mbappé only scored one goal via a penalty in the 1-1 draw against Poland in the last group stage match in Group D. A video online surfaced that Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana was part of a fun song that suggests that he will go for Mbappé's shin in the match against France. This doesn't seem like an attempt to actually hurt Mbappé, but some media pages took it that way. Mbappé was asked if he would swap shirts with Onana after the game against Belgium, but his response seemed like a shot too many towards the midfielder. Mbappé said, "Who?" When the interview said that Amadou Onana, Mbappé said, "Ah yes, ok, ok. I have no problems with him. If he wants my kit, he can have it.”
The Belgian Federation reportedly published this video of Onana singing along to hurt Mbappé in the shin in the upcoming game. This has already brought tension for the upcoming match, as it means a lot for both national teams. The two teams know that a loss in this game means the end of their EURO 2024 campaign.
The last time the two sides faced off in a major tournament was in the FIFA World Cup semifinal in 2018. France won 1-0 because of a goal by Samuel Umtiti in the 51st minute. France ended up winning the tournament after beating Croatia 4-2 in the World Cup Final.
Kylian Mbappé has only played two games in the competition so far. He played in the 1-0 win against Austria in France's first match of the tournament. He broke his nose late in the game and missed the match against the Netherlands. Mbappé played in the 1-1 draw against Poland, where he scored a penalty.
