Real Madrid fans have finally gotten their answer regarding Nacho Fernandez's future, as the Spanish defender confirmed that they will leave the club this summer. Real Madrid confirmed the departure of Nacho Fernandez on their social media pages, as he was the captain of the team this past season. Real Madrid's statement read, "Real Madrid CF announces that our captain Nacho has decided to end his career as a Real Madrid player. Real Madrid wants to express its gratitude and affection to Nacho, one of the great legends of our club." COPE reports that now, with Nacho's departure, Real Madrid will spend a lot of money signing his replacement. The Spanish outlets reported that Lille were asking for more than $100 million for Leny Yoro, but they lowered the figure to $70 million. As 2025 approaches, those amounts will continue to decrease. Real Madrid is not going to pay more than $40 million.

I learned everything I am today. I have been coming to train every day at the same place for almost 25 years, which is said soon, learning the values of madridismo, giving my life and fighting for this shield: you have given me everything."
