While Copa America is days away, the Brazilian national team has been under a lot of pressure lately because of Ronaldinho's comments and the performances in the last two friendlies against Mexico and the USA. Brazil are still one of the strongest teams in Copa America, and they will be competing for the trophy to challenge the Argentina national team. The star players in Brazil will be Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo this summer, but the main player who will miss the tournament is Neymar Jr. The Al Hilal player suffered a big blow last October as he had an ACL injury that kept him out for the rest of the season in Saudi Arabia and is keeping him for Copa America. Despite this, the star has a surprise for the Brazilian national team. According to Sports Center Brazil, Neymar will be with the national team for the first two Copa América games in the United States. He won't be able to play to train with them, of course, but he will be there for moral support.

The second match for Brazil in Copa America 2024 will be against Paraguay at the Allegiant Stadium on June 28th in Las Vegas. The final game for Brazil will be against Colombia on July 2nd at Levi's Stadium in San Francisco. All the games on the group stage for Brazil will be on the West Coast of the United States. Brazil's last preparation match for Copa America was against the USA in a 1-1 draw at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The performance led to lots of criticism, including from Ronaldinho, who called the national team the worst in many years.

Neymar won't be playing in Copa America this summer, and while neutral fans are disappointed, some Argentina fans are relieved to hear the news. An Argentina player recently spoke about how difficult it was to play against Neymar in the last Copa America in 2021. Rodrigo de Paul spoke to Telemundo Deportes, and he said, "Neymar in the Copa América final was the toughest opponent I faced. He's an animal, I told him a couple of things. In the second half, during a play, I said to him: 'Honestly, man, you're a phenomenon. It's not just how you play, no one can throw you off your game.' Then we hugged. Ney in that final was spectacular." Argentina went on to win the game 1-0 against Brazil at the Maracana.
