Good news for Real Madrid: three players are ready to return and one of them is Vinicius

The Spanish side suffered injuries to several stars, but they are gradually recovering.

Ancelotti must be happy.

The 2023/24 season has been almost perfect for Real Madrid. They only lost one game in the semester (3-1 against Atlético Madrid at the Civitas Metropolitano), they are leaders of the La Liga standings along with the surprising Girona and in Champions League they finished the group stage with ideal score after winning the six games they played.

But now comes the most demanding stage of the season. The Spanish league still has a long way to go, the Champions League will be increasingly difficult in each phase and, as if that were not enough, they will have two more tournaments: the Super Cup of Spain, between January 10 and 14 in Saudi Arabia, and the Copa del Rey, whose round of 32 will begin in just a few days.

That is why it is key for coach Carlo Ancelotti to recover some of the players who have been absent lately due to physical problems. Injuries were the only negative thing for Real Madrid this season. Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao and David Alaba had to be treated for torn anterior cruciate ligaments in their knees, while other players also had problems, although less serious.

This Friday the squad returned to training after a week of rest. The players were able to enjoy some vacation days that were useful to recharge their batteries and face the second half of the season. And the return to training had good news, as three important players seem to be recovered from their respective injuries.

Who are they?

Vinicius Junior was injured during the international break in November, in a match between Brazil and Colombia. Although initial estimates were very pessimistic, he has recovered quickly and has a chance to play next Wednesday against Mallorca. Also Eduardo Camavinga, who was injured while playing for France, and Dani Carvajal, who had a muscular problem a few weeks ago. And Arda Guler is also doing better, although we will still have to wait to see him make his debut in the white jersey.
