Despite Portugal's win, Cristiano was very annoyed, the request Ronaldo wants for the next games at the EUROS

Portugal is having a great EURO 2024 so far as they are the group leaders of Group F and are through to the round of 16. Cristiano Ronaldo has yet to score a goal, but he provided a historic assist in the 3-0 win against Turkiye, which puts him in the record books. Ronaldo has the most assists of any player in the history of the European Championships. Despite the wins and the records he had broken, Ronaldo was visibly upset during certain parts of the match against Turkiye at the Borussia Dortmund stadium. During the game, a couple of fans vaded the pitch multiple times to try and get a picture with Ronaldo. The Portuguese striker did allow a few lucky intruders to take a picture with him, but the situation got worse as a few more invaded the pitch, which annoyed CR7. The Times reports that the Portuguese Federation asked the European Union to improve security at the Euro Championship after a number of fans stormed the field to take a picture with Ronaldo.

Ronaldo was approached by a young fan, who welcomed him with a big smile. The young boy invaded the pitch during the match and took a selfie with CR7. The Portuguese striker gladly took the picture, and the boy ran away from the stewards. The boy said, "I told my father that I was going to the bathroom, then I stormed the field and ran towards Ronaldo. I simply achieved my dream, now I have a picture with Ronaldo. I can't believe this happened.”

After that, more fans tried getting close to Ronaldo, which annoyed the Portuguese star and a few of his teammates. The team just wanted the game to carry on as normal, but the stewards had trouble controlling some of the fans who invaded the pitch. Around six fans invaded the pitch to take a picture with Ronaldo.

European Union listens to requests

The Atheltic reports that the European Union announced an increase in security numbers after the incident of storming the stadiums in order to take pictures with Cristiano Ronaldo. Security will be tightened, and fans will be warned that anyone trespassing on the pitch will face a criminal offense charge and be banned from attending all remaining matches in the tournament.
