Mbappé could earn a fortune.

For months, there was talk of a key date for Kylian Mbappé's future: January 1, 2024. He is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 30 this year and FIFA rules allow players with less than six months left on their contract to negotiate freely with other clubs. That is why many believed that in the new year 'Kiki' would quickly begin talks with teams like Real Madrid and Liverpool.

However, that has not happened. On every occasion that he has spoken publicly on the subject, the French striker assured that he has not yet made a decision on what he wants for the future of his professional career and that is why almost 20 days of January have passed and the situation is exactly the same as before.

That has allowed PSG to hope that perhaps Mbappé will change his mind and decide to stay in France next season. Although he has the power to activate the automatic extension clause of his contract until 2025, the Parisian side have intentions to tempt him with a new contract that will not only have a longer duration, but also a considerable salary increase.

According to journalist Stéphane Guy, PSG made Kylian an impressive offer: "I confirm that if it is a choice of money, as his mother says, Paris have no rival. Paris offered him €400 million for four years. Today he earns, according to the documentary Envoyé Spécial, €100 million in total, including advertising revenue. Paris are ready to offer him €100 million (about $108 million) in salary".

He is the number in Europe

Kylian Mbappé currently has a salary of nearly $70 million at Paris Saint-Germain, making him the highest paid player in Europe. Should he accept the new offer from the French side, he will confirm his place as the number 1. However, he will still be far behind other stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Neymar Junior, who have even higher salaries in Saudi Arabia.
