Many things have happened in the last months and the forward will give his opinion.

The last two years have been the most successful in Argentina's history. Although they had already won many titles in the past, they had never before been champions of America, Intercontinental and World Cup in the same cycle, showing excellent performances that made fans all over the world fall in love with them.

Much of that credit goes to coach Lionel Scaloni. He arrived as interim in 2018, after the failure at the World Cup in Russia, and gradually built a new team with many young players, such as Rodrigo De Paul, Leandro Paredes, Giovani Lo Celso, Lautaro Martinez, Emiliano Martinez, Cristian Romero, Enzo Fernandez, Alexis MacAllister and Julian Alvarez. They understood perfectly what their place in the National Team was and allowed Lionel Messi to shine as he had never been able to do before.

However, all that was put in jeopardy in November, when Scaloni assured that he had doubts about remaining as coach. Since then newspapers, TV shows and social media have been flooded with rumors and speculation about what the problem is. Now, two months later, there will be a key meeting to try to solve this.

According to journalist Leonardo Paradizo, this Wednesday Messi will receive Scaloni at his home in Rosario and they will talk about the future of the Argentine National Team. "They will talk about some issues to define things for the future, such as for the friendlies in March. There is the possibility that some of the players usually called up by Scaloni will be absent, and that there will be new ones with the idea of testing for the Copa América. They will both be alone", the journalist assured.

This is the objective

Paradizo then told what Scaloni's concerns are: "There are many things related to coexistence and planning. The staff wants to get things ready for the Copa América, which is the main objective. I have almost confirmed that he will continue to coach until the Copa América and then we'll see. It's a big question mark".
