The Red Devils had a difficult week and need to win this Saturday.

In the last few days Manchester United were in the news for problems that have nothing to do with soccer. The club's chiefs were forced to make drastic decisions to resolve unexpected conflicts with some of the squad's players. Antony was given a leave of absence while police in England and Brazil investigate allegations against him. And Jadon Sancho was punished for his quarrel with coach Erik Ten Hag and is now training alone, away from his teammates.

Against this backdrop, the Red Devils need to get a win that will allow them to forget about these problems and focus on soccer. In the Premier League they have had an irregular performance, with two wins and two defeats in their first four games. This has left them in 11th place in the standings, far behind the leaders, Manchester City.

For this match, Erik Ten Hag decided that the starting lineup will be: André Onana; Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelöf, Lisandro Martínez, Sergio Reguilon; Scott McTominay, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes; Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund. In addition, on the bench will be Altay Bayindir, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Johnny Evans, Harry Maguire, Hannibal Mejbri, Facundo Pellistri, Daniel Gore, Anthony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho.

The opponents will be Brighton & Hove Albion, who so far won three out of four matches this season and are in sixth place in the standings with 9 points. Coach Roberto De Zerbi chose this XI to play at Old Trafford this Saturday: Jason Steele; Tariq Lamptey, Jan-Paul van Hecke, Lewis Dunk, Joël Veltman; Pascal Grob, Mahmoud Dahoud, Simon Adingra, Adam Lallana, Kaoru Mitoma, Danny Welbeck.

They have problems

Manchester United will have several absentees for this match. In addition to the problems of Antony and Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane has been injured since the match against Nottingham Forest on August 26. And one of this summer's signings, Sofyan Amrabat, has not yet been able to make his debut. Ten Hag spoke about him at Friday's press conference and said: "He came back unfortunately with the injury, so he will not be available, but I think, on the short notice, yes".
