Will they miss Lewandowski? These are the starting lineups for Barcelona and Granada

Los Blaugranas need a win to get closer to Real Madrid.

Los Blaugranas need a win to get closer to Real Madrid.

Saturday's results did not benefit Barcelona. Real Madrid won 4-0 against Osasuna and ensured they will remain the leaders of the La Liga standings until after the October international break. And Girona beat Cadiz 1-0, which allowed them to stay in second place and overtake the Catalan side by two points. That is why this Sunday they need to win in order not to be too far from the top.

It will be an ideal opportunity to do so, as they will face one of the weakest teams in the Spanish league: Granada. The Nazarí team have won only one match, drawn two and lost five. That is why they are in relegation zone, second last with 5 points and only 2 more than Almeria.

But Xavi Hernandez will not underestimate them. The coach will put all the stars of the team with the aim of getting a victory. However, some important players will be absent due to physical problems: Frenkie De Jong, Pedri, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski. The latter is the one who will be missed the most, as there is no other center-forward with similar characteristics in the squad. His place will be taken by Ferrán Torres, as in the match against Porto in the Champions League.

Los Blaugranas' starting lineup will be: Marc-André Ter Stegen; Joao Cancelo, Jules Koundé, Andreas Christensen, Alejandro Balde; Gavi, Ilkay Gundogan, Fermin Lopez; Lamine Yamal, Ferrán Torres, Joao Felix. The substitutes will be Iñaki Peña, Ander Astralaga, Ronald Araujo, Marcos Alonso, Sergi Roberto, Iñigo Martinez, Oriol Romeu, Marc Guiu and Pau Victor.

Will they be able to compete?

Granada have not fared well at the start of the season. However, in their last game they managed the feat of drawing 3-3 against Almeria after starting 3-0 down. Perhaps that will give them encouragement and help them to improve. The coach Paco Lopez decided that the XI will be: André Ferreira; Ricard Sanchez, Miguel Angel Rubio, Ignasi Miquel, Carlos Neva; Bryan Zaragoza, Gonzalo Villar, Gerardo Gumbau, Alvaro Fernandez; Myrto Uzuni, Lucas Boye.
