(VIDEO) Luton Town keeper's mistake that benefited Arsenal and Guardiola regrets

Arsenal became leaders of the Premier League standings a couple of weeks ago when they took advantage of the 1-1 draw between Manchester City and Liverpool and, with a last-minute win over Brentford, overtook them. Last weekend they managed to stay there after beating Wolverhampton 2-1 at Emirates Stadium. And not only that. They also increased the gap over The Citizens, who drew 3-3 vs Tottenham.

However, the Gunners cannot relax. They know that the tournament is very long and they have not even reached the halfway point yet. That's why their goal now is to keep stringing together victories and stay as far away from their main rivals as possible. This Tuesday they have a challenge that should not give them too many problems: they visit Luton Town, one of the weakest teams in the Premier League, at Kenilworth Road.

But things are not going as easy as they imagined. The hosts have defended well during the first half and prevented Arsenal from showing their usual performances. However, they scored the opener thanks to an absurd mistake by goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski, who threw the ball out allowing the opposing players to attack quickly and find the box unprotected. Gabriel Martinelli took advantage of this and, after a drilled cross, shot with his right foot to make it 1-0.

Fortunately for Kaminski, his teammates saved him. Just 5 minutes later, Gabriel Osho scored with a header the equaliser after a corner kick from the left. Curiously, the one who was supposed to mark Osho was Gabriel Martinelli, who regretted his mistake.

One of the teams most interested in the match between Luton Town and Arsenal is Manchester City. They are competing against the Gunners at the top of the table and need their rivals not to win to get closer to them. Coach Pep Guardiola must surely have been furious with Martinelli's opener and will have celebrated Osho's goal.
