David Beckham's side wants the striker, but the negotiation is not easy.

Inter Miami wants to become one of the most important clubs in Major League Soccer. Only 5 years after being founded, The Herons managed to attract the attention of fans around the world with the signing of Lionel Messi, the best player of all time.

Other stars such as Sergio Busquets, former Barcelona midfielder, and the prestigious manager Gerardo Martino, who coached Barcelona and the Argentine National Team, joined him. In addition, Jordi Alba, who had a baby this week and therefore could not yet travel to the United States, will also sign with the team in the coming days.

These signings are necessary to raise the level of the team, as they are now in the last position in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer and are far from the qualifying zone for the playoffs. That is why the Chiefs are looking to sign another star who shone alongside Messi in Barcelona: Luis Suárez. The Uruguayan forward is one of Leo's best friends. They played together in Spain between 2014 and 2020, forming a great attacking duo (trio while Neymar was with them, before going to Paris Saint-Germain) and were champions of the Champions League 2015.

However, the negotiation will not be easy. Suarez is under contract with Gremio of Brazil until December 2024 and the Porto Alegre team has no intention of letting him go now, unless the $70 million exit clause is paid. Inter Miami is not willing to do so, so there is another alternative: wait until December of this year, when the Brazilian league ends and negotiate the termination of his contract in exchange for a smaller sum of money.

They also want young players

Coach Gerardo Martino's idea is to bring in not only stars who have shone in Europe, but also promising young players who can energize the team. That is why they have already agreed to sign Diego Gómez, a Paraguayan midfielder from Libertad. In the next few days they hope to do the same with the Argentines Tomás Avilés, a defender from Racing, and Facundo Farías, a forward from Colón.
