Real Madrid chose Vinicius' replacement, but FIFA banned the transfer for this reason

Real Madrid were victims of the 'FIFA virus' during this international break. Two of the squad's stars, Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius Junior, traveled to their respective countries to join their national teams and suffered injuries that will keep them off the field for a long time.

The French midfielder had a collision with Ousmane Dembélé during a training session and suffered a ruptured external lateral ligament in his right knee. He will have to undergo surgery and will need more than two months to recover. And the Brazilian winger suffered a muscle injury at the beginning of the season and will not be able to play until February.

With this scenario, coach Carlo Ancelotti needs alternatives, especially in attack. That is why they tried to negotiate the arrival of a forward to replace 'Vini'. The chosen one was Endrick, the young Palmeiras player whose signing Real Madrid had already agreed to sign last year, in exchange for almost $60 million. The original idea was that he would join the squad from next summer, once he turns 18, but Vinicius' injury made them think about bringing his arrival forward.

But that will not be possible. According to OK Diario, Los Merengues consulted FIFA if there was a possibility of making an exception to the rule that prevents international transfers of players under 18. But the answer was negative and so they will have to wait until July 21, 2024, when the Brazilian forward turns 18.

He is already a star

Despite his young age, Endrick has already proven to be one of the most talented young players in the world. In fact, his excellent performances in Palmeiras allowed him to reach the Brazilian National Team. Coach Fernando Diniz decided to call him up for the first time during the November international break and he had the opportunity to make his debut last Thursday in the 2-1 defeat against Colombia. Thus, he became the youngest player to play for Brazil in almost 30 years.
