The Saudi Arabian team continue to sign stars to win the title.

Al-Ittihad are the last champions of the Pro League. Last season they won the title leaving Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr in second place. But now they know that repeating their success will not be enough for them with the same as last year, as this summer Saudi Arabian teams have invested a fortune to sign top players.

That is why they have done the same and agreed on the arrival of stars such as Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kanté, Jota and Fabinho. But they are still not satisfied and want more. According to reports, they are preparing a multi-million bid to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah. If accepted, the Egyptian winger would become one of the highest paid players on the planet. His contract would include a high salary, bonuses and club shares.

And now Al-Ittihad have also targeted another top player in Europe: Sergio Ramos. The Spanish defender shone for 15 years at Real Madrid, where he won 4 Champions League titles. He was also successful in the Spanish National Team, with which he won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the 2008 and 2012 Euros.

Ramos played the last two years at Paris Saint-Germain, but after his contract expired on June 30, he became a free agent. He has since received offers from Major League Soccer, Brazil and Argentina, but has turned them all down. Now he seemed close to agreeing a move to Galatasaray of Turkey, but the offer from Al-Ittihad could change his plans.

What remains to be agreed on?

According to Al Kass and RMC, negotiations are very advanced between the club and the player. The only thing they have not yet managed to agree on is the duration of the contract. Sergio Ramos wants it to be for 3 years, while Al-Ittihad offer 2. This is very similar to the conflict he had with Real Madrid in 2021, when Florentino Perez wanted to renew his contract for one season and the defender asked for 2.
