Neither Real Madrid nor PSG, this may be the unexpected destination of Mbappé

For months now, fans around the world have been anxious to know where Kylian Mbappé will play next season. He announced in June that he had no intention of activating the automatic renewal clause of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain that expires on June 30, 2024. In that case, not only will he become a free agent the following day, but from January 1 he will be able to negotiate with any club in the world wishing to sign him.

The main favorites always seemed to be Real Madrid. They were very close to having him in 2022, when Kylian had not yet accepted PSG's renewal offer, but he finally changed his mind and opted to continue in France. According to reports, that decision upset Florentino Perez and he still hasn't forgotten it.

That situation, in addition to the fortune it would cost to sign a star of that importance, are some of the reasons why Real Madrid might desist from trying to add Mbappé. In that case, the French striker will need to look for other alternatives. And that's where Saudi Arabia comes in.

Recently Michael Emenalo, direct from the Pro League, revealed that Kylian had talks with a Saudi Arabian club during the last transfer window: "If the player was ready to come, there was a club ready to receive him and make room for him in their squad". That club was Al-Ittihad and the offer was over $200 million per year. Al-Hilal were also rumored to be interested in him and even sent representatives to Paris to meet with the player's agents.

Emenalo then assured that the doors of the Pro League are open for 'Kiki': "With Mbappé, the conversation is open, but we don't know what he wants to do. Our position is very clear: any of this type of player knows where we are."
