The German defender wants to persuade this star, but so far he has not succeeded.

Real Madrid are used to having some of the world's top stars in their squad. Most kids who start playing soccer dream of one day wearing the white jersey at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium and winning the Champions League title there. That's why many fantasize about what that star-studded locker room will be like and how they will get along with each other, considering the success, fame and money they all have and how difficult those egos can be to live with.

But when someone reveals details of those situations, more often than not everyone is surprised to discover that the relationship between the stars is very good and not unlike any other club in the world.

Now Antonio Rudiger spoke about another of the squad's stars and shocked everyone by revealing unexpected details. In an interview with DAZN, the defender assured that he asks "every day" Toni Kroos to return to the German National Team. "A player like him, who is still at such a high level, really has to be there," he said.

However, he then added: "When Toni plays, with his heart rate of 20 and an aerial game from another planet, everything is great. I would really like him to play for the national team. But that's his decision." Kroos was a star for Germany for years, becoming a key part of the team that won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. However, he decided to retire in 2021, after the Euro, when he was just 31.

They will be under a lot of pressure

During the last few years, the German national team has not achieved good results. But next summer they will be the hosts of Euro 2024 and therefore they are obliged to improve their performances in order not to disappoint the fans. On this, Rudiger said: "Playing in our own country changes everything. We can't downplay this. Our goal should be to go far. No one should come and say, 'If we get through the group stage, that's good'."
