The Catalan side need a win to stay on top of the standings.

Last weekend Barcelona got an epic 3-2 win against Celta in Montjuic, after being down 2-0 until the 81st minute. The 3 points they got allowed them to become leaders of the La Liga standings along with Girona, as on Sunday Real Madrid lost against Atlético Madrid.

Now Los Blaugranas cannot relax. They have the goal of staying on top and for that they must beat Real Mallorca this Tuesday afternoon at the Iberostar Estadio. It seems to be an ideal opportunity for the Catalan side, as their rivals have not had a good start to the season and have barely won a game. That is why they are in 16th place in the standings with 5 points.

For this match, coach Xavi Hernandez has decided to rest several players of the squad, who accumulated a lot of fatigue in recent weeks. Jules Koundé and Robert Lewandowski played all the matches of the 2023/24 season, both in La Liga and Champions League. That is why this Tuesday they will be on the bench and their replacements will be Iñigo Martínez and Ferrán Torres.

Barcelona's starting lineup will be: Marc-André Ter Stegen; Joao Cancelo, Ronald Araújo, Iñigo Martínez, Alejandro Balde; Gavi, Oriol Romeu, Ilkay Gundogan; Raphinha, Ferrán Torres, Joao Felix. Substitutes will be Iñaki Peña, Ander Astralaga, Andreas Christensen, Jules Koundé, Marcos Alonso, Sergi Roberto, Fermín Lopez, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski.

They need to get a good result

Real Mallorca have struggled at the start of the 2023/24 season. The team's performances have been far from expectations and the fans are starting to lose patience. That's why they will do their best to get a good result against Barcelona. Coach Javier Aguirre chose this XI: Predrag Rajkovic; Giovanni Gonzalez, Martin Valjent, Matija Nastasic, Copete, Pablo Maffeo; Dani Rodriguez, Antonio Sanchez, Samuel Costa, Vedat Muriqi; Abdon Prats.
