The coach is very demanding with the players of the French squad.

After a bad start to the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season, in which they failed to beat Lorient and Toulouse FC, Paris Saint-Germain have improved their performances and in the last two matches they lived up to expectations. The return of Kylian Mbappé to the team was key to that, as he scored 5 goals in 3 matches.

This Sunday they showed a great level against Olympique Lyonnais and already in the first half they were winning 4-0 thanks to goals from 'Kiki', twice, Marco Asensio and Achraf Hakimi. The final score was 4-1, as the hosts scored through Corentin Tolisso. The victory puts them in second place in the standings with 8 points, 2 points behind the leaders, AS Monaco.

But, despite the result obtained by PSG, Luis Enrique had a moment of anger during the match. When his team was already 4-0 up, the coach got very angry with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in a situation where he chose to send a long pass. Luis Enrique believed that the play should be resolved in another way, with a short pass to the PSG defenders, in order to prevent the opponents from recovering the ball quickly.

And he did not hesitate to show that anger, with gestures to Donnarumma telling him to put the ball on the ground instead of trying over the top. And then, seeing the goalkeeper's decision, he kicked a bottle that was near the bench. With this, Luis Enrique shows that he is very demanding with his players and does not relax even when the match is favorable.

Now they have time to rest

Paris Saint-Germain will not play next weekend, as Ligue 1 will stop for the international break. The next match will be on Friday, September 15 at the Parc des Princes, against Nice.
