The Saudi Arabian league continues to grow and more and more top players are deciding to leave Europe to accept the multi-million dollar offers from Pro League clubs. One of the teams that signed the most players this summer is Al-Nassr. After finishing second last season, they have now invested a lot of money to surround Cristiano Ronaldo with stars. So far they have signed left-back Alex Telles, center-back Aymeric Laporte, holding midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and forwards Seko Fofana, Otavio and Sadio Mane.
However, these decisions have caused an unexpected problem: Al-Nassr have exceeded the maximum number of foreign players each squad can have. The Pro League allows up to 8 and they have 9. That is why in the next few days the Ivorian defender Konan and the Brazilian striker Anderson Talisca could leave.
In that case, a foreign spot will be freed up and the club's chiefs already have a possible signing in mind. According to VictoryFC1, it is Lucas Ocampos. The Argentine winger is one of Sevilla's stars and has played 4 games in the 2023/24 season, between La Liga and the European Super Cup against Manchester City.
But his departure from Spain will not be easy. Ocampos has a contract with Sevilla until June 30, 2025 and the Spanish side have no intention of getting rid of him, as he is a key part of the team for coach José Luis Mendilibar. In fact, this summer they rejected several offers from other clubs for him.
Should Al-Nassr's interest in Lucas Ocampos be confirmed, he would join the list of Sevilla players who were targeted by Saudi Arabian teams this summer. Earlier Ivan Rakitic and Youssef En-Nesyri rejected offers, while goalkeeper Bono was signed by Al-Hilal.
