Both teams are very close to the top of the standings.

This Saturday Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich will play one of the most interesting matches of the weekend in Europe. The German giants will face each other at the Signal Iduna Park looking for a victory that will bring them closer to the top of the Bundesliga standings.

The leaders are Bayer Leverkusen, who beat Hoffenheim on Saturday to reach 28 points. Behind them are Bayern Munich with 23 points. Borussia Dortmund have 21, so a victory will allow them to overtake their rivals and get closer to the top of the tournament.

Thomas Tuchel's team had a difficult week. Last Wednesday they unexpectedly lost against Saarbrucken 2-1 and were eliminated in the second round of the German Cup. This caused harsh criticism against the players, but also against the coach, who left Harry Kane sitting on the bench while his team lost.

Now Tuchel will not make the same mistake and will put all the stars on the field. Bayern Munich's starting lineup will be: Manuel Neuer; Noussair Mazraoui, Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-Jae, Alphonso Davies; Konrad Laimer, Leon Goretzka; Kingsley Coman, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane; Harry Kane. In addition, the substitutes will be Sven Ulreich, Bouna Sarr, Franz Kratzig, Aleksandar Pavlovich, Serge Gnabry, Eric Maxim Choupo Moting, Thomas Muller and Mathys Tel.

They need to win too

Borussia Dortmund are close to the top of the standings and a win will allow them to get closer to Bayer Leverkusen. In addition, in the Champions League they got a valuable win last week in England against Newcastle. Manager Edin Terzic chose this XI: Gregor Kobel; Marius Wolf, Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck, Julian Ryerson; Salih Ozcan, Marcel Sabitzer, Donyell Malen, Marco Reus, Julian Brandt, Niclas Fulkrug. On the bench will be Alexander Meyer, Niklas Sule, Rami Bensebaini, Felix Nmecha, Giovanni Reyna, Sebastian Haller, Karim Adeyemi, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Youssoufa Moukoko.
