The future of Bernardo Silva is uncertain as Paris Saint-Germain shows interest in signing him, but the Portuguese midfielder is not entirely convinced by the offer from the Parisian club. According to reports from Relevo, Silva has many doubts about the current situation at PSG, especially after Lionel Messi's departure and the club's efforts to retain Kylian Mbappé.
These doubts could be a glimmer of hope for Barcelona, who still dream of Silva's arrival. At the moment, the Barcelona board is limited in terms of salary space to pursue the Lisbon-born player, but both the club and the player are willing to wait and negotiate.
Bernardo has already hinted at his desire to play for Barelona last year and even bid farewell to the Sky Blue fans, although at that time Barcelona did not have sufficient financial resources to compete for his signing.
After winning the first Champions League in Manchester City's history, the midfielder will join the Portuguese national team for the Euro 2024 qualifiers. After that, he will enjoy a vacation and return to City at the end of July, which means Bernardo has no intention of worrying about his future in the coming weeks.
With a contract until June 2025, Silva is aware that Manchester City is unlikely to let him go for less than 70 million EUR, a figure that is currently out of reach for Barcelona. In fact, there have been rumors that PSG has offered City an exchange involving Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti to balance the transfer.
