The Gunners achieved an important 4-3 win vs Luton Town, but not everything went right.

Arsenal secured the lead in the Premier League standings for at least one more week. They needed a win at Kenilworth Road vs Luton Town to not depend on other results, and they got it by winning 4-3 with a stoppage time goal from Declan Rice. The game was crazy, with lots and lots of goals and score changes, but also with incredible mistakes.

The main target was goalkeeper David Raya. He was directly responsible for two of Luton Town's three goals, jeopardizing not only the result of the match, but also the Gunners' position in the tournament. In the end the team saved him, but doubts about his deservedness to be in the starting lineup will linger.

This goalkeeping issue had already caused controversy at Arsenal. During the previous season, and in the first few games of the current season, the team's goalkeeper was Aaron Ramsdale. He had performed well and was even called up to the English national team. So it was a surprise when coach Mikel Arteta decided to bench him to give the opportunity to David Raya, who is on loan from Brentford.

The poor performances of the Spanish player on Tuesday caused the anger of many fans, who posted messages on social media asking for a change. One wrote: "Ramsdale still better than Raya any day"; another added: "Ramsdale definitely having a laugh later tonight"; and a third opined: "Every time I watch Arsenal it looks like Aaron Ramsdale should be playing".

What was he laughing about?

A curious situation occurred during Tuesday's game. After Raya made the mistakes that allowed Luton Town to score two goals, Amazon Prime's live TV coverage of the game showed Aaron Ramsdale sitting on the bench and laughing. While it's unclear if that was the reason for his reaction, for many it was related to that.
