One of the most interesting matches of Tuesday will be played at the Parc des Princes.

This Tuesday began the group stage of the Champions League 2023/24. This is the most important club tournament in the world, as teams from the best leagues in Europe compete there and the biggest soccer stars dream of winning the title.

One of the matches that opened the tournament was the draw between AC Milan and Newcastle at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium. Both teams are in Group F, probably the toughest and most evenly matched of the 8 groups, as in addition to the Italian and English clubs, there are also the last French champions, Paris Saint-Germain, and the German runners-up, Borussia Dortmund.

The Parisian team is obsessed with the Champions League. That has been their main goal since the Qatari sheikhs bought the club more than a decade ago. However, so far they have not been able to win the title, their best appearance being the final lost to Bayern Munich in 2020. The Germans have been European champions, in the 1996/97 season, and lost another final in 2013, against Bayern Munich as well.

For this match, PSG coach Luis Enrique decided that all the stars of the team will play. The starting lineup will be: Giangluigi Donnarumma; Achraf Hakimi, Milan Skriniar, Marrquinhos, Lucas Hernandez; Warren Zaire-Emery, Manuel Ugarte, Vitinha; Ousmane Dembele, Randal Kolo Muani, Kylian Mbappé. Substitutes will be Keylor Navas, Arnau Tenas, Nordi Mukiele, Fabian Ruiz, Carlos Soler, Kang-In Lee, Danilo Pereira, Goncalo Ramos and Bradley Barcola.

Not an easy match

In their debut, PSG will face a difficult opponent. Borussia Dortmund came close to winning the Bundesliga last season, as it was only on the last matchday that Bayern Munich were able to take the title. Now they aim to compete in the German league and in Europe, so coach Edin Terzic decided to play his best players this afternoon in Paris. The XI will be: Gregor Kobel; Julian Ryerson, Nikklas Sule, Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck; Julian Brandt, Emre Can, Marcel Sabitzer; Marius Wolf, Donyell Malen, Karim Adeyemi.
